What we collect

Travellers: when you send an enquiry, we save your name, WhatsApp number, tour date, group size, language and message, together with the guide or city you asked about.

Guides: when you register, we save your name, WhatsApp number, city and a password (stored only as a secure hash). To verify you, you upload your tourism licence and a government photo ID in your dashboard; only our team can open these files. We publish your name, photo, city, languages, places, prices and which checks you have passed. We never publish your ID documents or phone number on the website.

Chats: if you create a traveller account, we save your name, email, optional WhatsApp number and a password (stored only as a secure hash). Messages you send to guides or to GuideSaathi Support are stored so both sides can read them. To keep travellers and guides safe, our team may review chats between travellers and guides. Your phone number is not shown to a guide in the chat.

We also keep your IP address with each form you submit, to stop spam and abuse.

How we use it

We use your details only to connect travellers with guides, to verify guides, and to contact you about your enquiry or registration. When you continue an enquiry on WhatsApp, your messages are handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

Sharing

An enquiry you send to a guide is shared with that guide. We do not sell your details or share them with advertisers.

We only connect travellers and guides

GuideSaathi is a platform that connects travellers with independent tour guides. We do not run tours, and we are not a party to any agreement, payment or meeting between a traveller and a guide. What you share directly with a guide (for example on WhatsApp or during a tour) is your own choice and responsibility. See our terms of use for the full details.
